I envision a world of queer spiritual flourishing

Welcome!

I’m Mandi Rice.

In a world of binaries, I practice living into all of who I am. Both queer and spiritual. Both scholar and practitioner. Both holding others’ stories and telling my own.

The word “queerituality” came to me in 2013, and gave me a way to find my people. I needed to know I wasn’t alone in my spiritual search.

Since then, I’ve earned a Master of Divinity at Harvard, interviewed numerous queer spiritual role models, and never given up hope that our world can help LGBTQ+ folks like us to thrive.

Through our flourishing, we help to create a better world.

My queerituality teachers

I traveled around the U.S. to interview nearly 100 queer and trans Americans about their spiritual lives. What emerged is clear: queer people of many faith traditions are doing transformative work.

They are experts and mentors, seekers and survivors, and they embody what I have come to call “queer spiritual genius.”

Teaching, Speaking
& Facilitation

Our conversations about religion and queerness are often violent. What’s called for now is healing, unlearning, tenderness, and forgiveness.

As a facilitator and speaker, I hold space for this transformation.

What new could grow in your context?

Yes.
Yes!
This is how it will be,
because you,
my forbidden flowers,
Dare To Bloom.
